The Student Ambassador Program welcomes eligible business students who demonstrate academic accomplishment and professional expertise. It also provides feedback and advice to the leadership team of the College of Business. Run by students and overseen by the dean, the Student Advisory Board provides information about special programs and opportunities that the College of Business has to offer. In addition to all of the College of Business’ real-world exposure, the Professional Enrichment Program hosts seminars and forums focused on professional readiness and/or current work-related issues while giving students the opportunity to network with industry professionals. Finalists receive awards, scholarships, and cash prize opportunities. This case study is always relevant to emerging issues in business, keeping students up to date with the current market while helping the organization.
In the Corporate Challenge, student groups competitively perform field work on a case study presented to them by a local business organization. Students receive valuable exposure to academic and professional circles by presenting their research at conferences and workshops held by recognized associations.Ĭollege of Business students in the Personalized Academic Curricular Experience (PACE) program work with their advisers to form a cluster of four 3-credit courses not from the College of Business that are nevertheless thematically related to their proposed field of work upon graduation. The University promotes collaborative research among small groups of students or between students and faculty. UNH is one of only a few universities in the United States that offers freshman-year study abroad. Choices include China, Germany, India, and Ireland, among others. UNH’s study abroad program provides students with numerous opportunities to gain international experience. The students earn course credit as they produce a solution to the corporation’s project. Small student teams, guided by a faculty member, are able to work on an actual project developed by a corporate sponsor. Some programs even require this life-changing experience as a part of the degree program. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences provides an opportunity for students to enroll in a three-credit internship.
